Q: This is my first custom corset, how much waist reduction can I expect?

A: This depends on your particular build and composition, but typically you can expect between a 2” – 4” waist reduction from your new corset.

Q: Why are custom corsets so expensive?

A: Custom corsets can seem expensive compared to the off-the-rack corsets you may see in lingerie chains or fetish shops. There are many
reasons for this. A Melicious custom corset begins with a unique pattern drafted to your specific body measurements to ensure excellent fit.
We use extremely strong foundation fabrics and meticulous construction details and use only spring and spiral steel boning to insure a
strong, quality garment that will last through years of normal wear. As most who have purchased the flimsy mass produced corsets know,
they are very often uncomfortable, fit poorly, and consist of plastic boning encased in rather thin fabrics. Over time, the price of your custom
corset will be well worth it.

Q: I found some fabric that I want to have made into a corset, can I send it to you to use?

A: Absolutely, I am happy to use customer supplied fabric when possible. This is on a case by case basis however, as I will have to see the
fabric and ideally know the fabric content before I can tell you if it will be suitable for use.

Q: Are your corsets suitable for waist training?

A: Yes, all Melicious corsets are made to the same high standards which includes tightly woven cotton foundation fabric, triple stitched
seams, twill waist tape, and steel boning and, unless otherwise stated, are suitable for waist training. I do however encourage you to do
extensive research and get informed before attempting any waist training regiment.

Q: I’m dieting and still have some weight to lose, if I order a corset now will it still fit me?

A: That depends on how much you’ll lose and where. However, I encourage you to order your corset when you’re at a weight/shape that you
expect to stay at (within a few pounds of course). It’s the best way to ensure that you have a well fitting garment long term and don’t have to
pay for expensive alterations down the road.

Q: Can I take my own measurements?

A: I strongly discourage anyone from taking their own measurements alone. I don’t believe that you can get accurate measurements this way.
Ideally, I prefer that you either allow me to take them, or visit a local tailor and have them taken. However, you may also enlist the help of a
trusted friend and a good measuring tape. If you choose this option, I will send you detailed information on what measurements to take, and
    how to take them.

Q: How should I clean my corset?

A: Unless you are wearing your corset against bare skin for extended periods of time regularly, chances are all you’ll need to do is hang the
corset, open, over a pant hanger or rod and let it air out between uses. If you are wearing your corset more frequently and for longer periods at
a time, I suggest that you wear something under it. If this isn’t possible, or if you have a spill or stain, try wiping it down gently or spot cleaning
with a damp cloth and allow to air out overnight.

I am happy to answer any general questions you have that are not addressed above.
